One of the partnerships I am most grateful for is with our High Schools across northern Wisconsin. This year, I had the privilege of working alongside Mitchell Hell and Olivia Dachel as we introduced updates to the Wisconsin Youth Apprentice Program. These changes now allow young adults to earn credit for working with us in paid positions, while also making a positive impact on our customers. I want to extend a special thank you to two outstanding partners: Carolyn Graf from Winter WI High School and Matthew Granberg from the LacCourte Oreilles Ojibwe School. Both schools graciously hosted events that gave us the opportunity to share our program with their students, and we are honored to welcome them into our extended family. We have some amazing Walmart associates/students in the picture below!
I want to recognize the leadership and support from Hayward Store Manager Danille Burnham, People Lead Julie Homuth, and Market Manager Tim Hullett, who were instrumental in making this program and our events a success. Thank you all for your dedication, partnership, and commitment to our shared mission!

Meet Traylee, a Youth Apprentice shining in the Marketing and Professional Sales pathway at Walmart.

Through Youth Apprenticeship, Traylee is building real world marketing and customer engagement skills while exploring a future in professional sales. Experiences like this turn classroom learning into confidence, career clarity, and momentum.

A special thank you to Youth Apprenticeship mentor Jessica Girard for your guidance, encouragement, and support. Strong mentors help great students grow. ✨ CTE Month | Grateful for School Collaboration with Business Partners ✨

Youth Apprenticeship and CTE come to life through strong partnerships between schools and industry. We are thankful for businesses across northern Wisconsin, including the Walmart team, who invest their time, talent, and leadership to support students, educators, and future workforce development.

When employers open their doors, students gain real experience, confidence, and career direction. Thank you for being champions of Youth Apprenticeship and Career and Technical Education.
