CESA #12 assists area school counselors by providing connections to two key statewide support networks that promote safe and healthy schools: The Wisconsin Safe and Healthy Schools Training and Technical Assistance Center and a consortium grant funded by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) program.
Safe and Healthy Schools
The Wisconsin Safe & Healthy Schools Training and Technical Assistance Center Builds the capacity of Wisconsin public school districts to implement programs that effectively prevent and intervene in alcohol and other drug abuse and violent behavior among students in order to reduce these barriers to learning. |
AODA Consortium Grant
The AODA consortium grant provides assistance to school districts in developing comprehensive AODA programs that encompass both prevention and intervention services. The grant program supports the development and expansion of the district-wide, comprehensive, AODA prevention and early intervention programming as part of a coordinated school health program. |
